A short message about Parvo

Parvo-Precautions

We take Parvo very seriously! We use porcelain tile surfaces for the first few weeks. The quickest way to endanger a puppy with this killer virus is to let them roam on grass and soil, where the virus can live for over a year. Once beyond the "danger zone" of 6-8 weeks (for vaccinated puppies) they can be exposed to other areas as normal. For this (and other reasons) any reputable breeder would never rehome a puppy sooner that 6 weeks. Our puppies are vaccinated at 3 weeks for Parvo and their kennel is power-washed or sanitized daily. We even wear hospitable shoe coverings when tending and feeding them. Most vaccinations are done on-site to avoid early exposure in vets office.

Our Facilities

Climate Controlled

Our puppies and their mothers have a 300 square ft. addition to our house that is heated and air conditioned. We call it the "New mother wing" of our house.

Separate birthing area for mom allows for safe and secure birthing.
Air conditioned in summer and heated in winter.
Our puppies are on solid surfaces for first few weeks. (see note on Parvo above)
Facility is powerwashed or sanitized daily. (that's a lot of work!)
